Do we know what love is?

I wonder if we realize the need for love? But do we know what love is.  We are brought forth to this world as an act of love, but many times it is lust, boredom or force. When we arrive we cause unbearable pain to our mother, who love us. For years we are helpless and depend on the love of our parents.  We seek and crave the love of our playmates, our teachers and everybody around us. Then we meet the opposite sex and fall in love. It is not even a substitute. Most people are incapable of love they deserve sympathy.

I don’t know how to explain love, many poets tried. I read them and I was not convinced. In our cold war survival is a 24-hour struggle. There is little time for love. Do you know what love is dear? Does it come and go? Does it fluctuate? Is it transferable? Is it hell or is it heaven? In my previous letters I clowned a lot for you. I wanted you to laugh and for a few minutes I wanted you to forget the cross and how heavy it is. We all have our crosses. And laughter and love is the only two narcotics for it.
